Size: 4.5–5.5 inches (11–14 cm) leg span.
Lifespan: Females - 12 to 15 years / Males - 2 to 4 years
Lifestyle: Fossorial, spending most of its time in deep burrows.
Appearance: Brown-gray tones with a distinctive horn-like projection on the carapace.
Temperament: Fast, defensive, and not suitable for handling.
Care & Habitat:
Enclosure: Fossorial setup with 6–8 inches of compact substrate and a starter burrow.
Substrate: Moisture-retentive soil or coconut fiber.
Temperature: 74–82°F (23–28°C).
Humidity: 60–70%, with one side of the enclosure damp.
Diet: Crickets, roaches, and insects weekly; juveniles more often.
